Here in this blog, we are going to see the color difference between cow milk and buffalo. Cow milk is mild yellowish-white in color, while buffalo milk is creamy white. In buffalo milk beta- carotene pigment gets converted to colorless Vitamin- A, which makes it look white color.
Beta-carotene is found in the grass where the cows graze on. It is a fat-soluble compound. β-Carotene is an antioxidant that serves various immune regulatory properties. The body converts Beta Carotene into vitamin A (retinol). Vitamin A, known as a vital nutrient for vision, plays a critical role in cell growth and in maintaining healthy organs like the heart, lungs, and kidneys.
Also, cow milk has more sulfur content which gives yellowish-white color. In the above picture, the one on the left is buffalo milk and the one in right is cowmilk. above all these scientific statements it is really not mandatory that cow milk should be yellowish-white color, sometimes it may change depending on the cattle's feed, grazing geo-location, temperature, and cattle endocrine system.
In the next blog, we will see the fat content of cow milk.
