Warm milk & good sleep

Milk contains an essential amino acid L-tryptophan which is changed to serotonin by the human body which helps controlling mood and sleep.


Further serotonin helps to produce melatonin. Melatonin is produced and synthesized in the pineal gland. It is one of the key hormones which controls circadian rhythm (a natural, internal process that regulates the sleep-wake cycle and repeats roughly every 24 hours.).

Drinking milk helps in having good sleep and helps to maintain a healthy circadian rhythm making the body's endocrine system (The endocrine system is a messenger system comprising feedback loops of the hormones released by internal glands) work properly. When the endocrine system works fine all the issues related to hormonal imbalance get corrected and helps in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Melatonin takes a key role in modulating the immune system and also works as an antioxidant.
